Can music help us tackle the negative impact of social media? Harmonizing Social Transformations
Yes—when it becomes a powerful educational tool!
From June 24 to 26, 2025, a creative and inspiring training took place in Messolonghi, Greece as part of the Erasmus+ project

Harmonizing Social Transformations: Mitigating the negative effects of social media through art
The main goal of this project is to empower teachers to address the emotional and social challenges that young people face in the digital age—using artistic methods such as music, visual arts, creative movement and theatre.

Partner organizations:

ENIAIO EIDIKO EPAGGELMATIKO GYMNASIO – LYKEIO MESOLOGGIOU (host)

M&M Profuture Training, S.L. – Spain

Agrupamento de Escolas de Muralhas do Minho – Portugal

Düzce 15 Temmuz Şehitler Anadolu Lisesi – Türkiye

Under the title “Harmony of Art and Universal Melodies”, participants explored the power of music as a pedagogical tool.
Throughout the three-day training, teachers had the chance to:

create empathy-boosting playlists

join theatre, improvisation, and well-being workshops

observe robotics and science lessons (job shadowing)

work with psychologists and social workers

attend a live concert honoring Greek composer Mimis Plessas

and discover the cultural heritage of Messolonghi

There was also time to connect, reflect, share ideas—and enjoy the Greek sea and local traditions!

This training showed how art can transform classrooms into more human, emotional, and engaging learning spaces.
