TOKADI arrives in the classroom: emotional robotics and inclusion in action
The European TOKADI project, part of the Robots4Inclusion initiative, has been successfully implemented in six educational centers in Catalonia:
Thanks to this innovative proposal, more than 200 elementary school children have had a unique experience in which robotics is combined with emotional education and inclusion.
The protagonist of the project is TOKADI, a friendly turtle-shaped robot that guides students through activities to identify emotions, learn to cooperate, and value diversity.
Each session has been an opportunity to talk about emotions, reflect on values, and learn from practice. The teachers emphasize that TOKADI has fostered a safe, motivating, and emotionally meaningful learning environment.
This project demonstrates that technology can be a tool for social change.
A way to teach that feeling, sharing, and cooperation are just as important as adding and reading.
