Erasmus+ Job Shadowing: Turkish Teachers Explore Education in Barcelona
The Erasmus+ KA1 Job Shadowing initiative has provided a transformative professional experience for a group of Turkish teachers from Çınar Anaokulu, Sıylmaz Anaokulu , and Kutso Anaokulu in Barcelona.
From January 27 to 31, 2025, they had the opportunity to visit primary and secondary schools, gaining insights into Spanish educational methodologies and exchanging best practices with their European counterparts.
A Week of Learning and Exchange
During their stay, the Turkish educators visited several schools: kindergarten, primary, and secondary schools (ages 0–18), each offering unique approaches to teaching.
Through classroom observation and collaborative discussions, they explored innovative teaching methods, student engagement strategies, and inclusive education practices. The program emphasized active learning methodologies and how Spanish teachers address diverse classroom challenges.
The exchange provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on their own teaching practices and consider new strategies for their classrooms. By the end of the visit, participants felt inspired and equipped with fresh ideas to foster student engagement and academic success.
This experience not only broadened their knowledge but also helped them gain firsthand exposure to different educational settings. The visit allowed them to witness innovative pedagogical strategies that enhance student learning.
