After a month and a half of professional learning and international experience, six students from INSIGNARE – Escola Profissional de Ourém (Portugal) have completed their Erasmus+ mobility in Barcelona and returned home.
During their stay, Afonso, Sandro, Santiago, Rafael, Tomás and Rúben had the opportunity to undertake professional internships at local companies connected to their respective fields of study. Their mobility programme in Barcelona was coordinated by M&M Profuture Training.
A month and a half of international professional experience
The Erasmus+ internships allowed the students to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their vocational education in real working environments.
The students completed their internships at the following companies:
- Afonso completed his internship at Grafiks.
- Sandro and Santiago undertook their practical training at Euno Commercial Displays Technology.
- Rafael and Tomás completed their internships at Restaurant La Poma.
- Rúben completed his professional internship at the mechanical workshop Auto Moreno Bertrán.
Throughout the mobility, the participants gained first-hand experience of how Spanish companies operate, adapted to new teams and working environments, and developed skills directly related to their professional profiles.
Much more than a professional internship
An Erasmus+ mobility is much more than a work experience. Living and training temporarily in another country helps young people strengthen their independence, adaptability, communication skills and self-confidence.
Working in an international environment also allows students to discover new working methods, overcome everyday challenges and broaden their understanding of the professional opportunities available across Europe.
Their stay in Barcelona also gave them the chance to discover a new city, share experiences with their classmates and learn more about the local culture and way of life.
