WANTOFISH Publishes Its Second Newsletter Highlighting the Volos Meeting and the Moodle Platform
The WANTOFISH project has released its second project newsletter, now available online, focusing on two key milestones in the project’s development: the Kick-off Meeting held in Volos (Greece) and the presentation of the WANTOFISH Moodle training platform.
WANTOFISH is an Erasmus+ funded project aimed at raising awareness of water use and sustainability in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors. Through digital learning tools, interactive modules, and practical resources, the project promotes responsible water management and contributes to sustainable practices across the Mediterranean
This edition of the newsletter provides an overview of the first transnational meeting of the consortium, where partners met to coordinate project activities, align on implementation strategies and define the foundations for training development and collaboration.
In addition, the newsletter introduces the open-access Moodle platform, designed to support self-paced learning on water management in fisheries and aquaculture. The platform offers a structured learning pathway based on study texts, audio presentations, PowerPoint materials and quizzes, allowing learners to progress autonomously while building knowledge on water footprint and sustainability.
Through this second newsletter, WANTOFISH reinforces its commitment to clear communication and transparency, sharing key project developments and ensuring broad access to information and educational resources.
The WANTOFISH project is implemented by a transnational consortium led by EGE University (Türkiye) and including leading academic institutions across Europe:
EGE University (Türkiye – Project Coordinator)
Università degli Studi di Palermo (Italy)
Sveučilište u Dubrovniku (Croatia)
Balıkesir University (Türkiye)
University of Thessaly (Greece)
M&M Profuture Training, S.L. (Spain)
