EDSAW Final Conference in Bratislava Showcases Innovative Solutions for the Ageing Workforce
The final conference of the Erasmus+ project EDSAW – Enhancing Digital and Soft Skills for Ageing Workforce was successfully held in Bratislava, bringing together project partners, researchers, educators, policy makers and stakeholders committed to promoting lifelong learning and digital inclusion for adults aged 50+.

Hosted by University of Economics in Bratislava, the event marked the culmination of three years of international cooperation dedicated to addressing the growing need for digital and soft skills development among Europe’s ageing workforce.
Throughout the conference, participants explored the main outcomes developed within the project, including the EverLearning e-learning platform, a portfolio of specialised courses designed for adults aged 50+, and innovative methodologies aimed at supporting lifelong learning, employability and active ageing.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the Methodology for Building Local Learning Centres (LLCs) and Innovative Learning Spaces (ILS). This practical framework provides organisations, municipalities, educational institutions and community stakeholders with tools and guidance to create accessible and sustainable learning environments adapted to the needs of older learners.
Partners also presented the results of pilot activities implemented across Europe, sharing experiences and lessons learned from working directly with adults aged 50+. These experiences demonstrated the importance of flexible, learner-centred and confidence-building approaches that support participation in lifelong learning and help reduce digital exclusion.
The conference included expert discussions on digital transformation, workforce development, active ageing, employability and the future of adult education policies in Europe. Participants highlighted the importance of continuing to invest in innovative educational models that empower older adults to remain active, adaptable and connected in an increasingly digital society.
The event concluded with a strong commitment from all partners to continue promoting lifelong learning, digital inclusion and active ageing beyond the lifetime of the project.
