Introduction
Thanks to the collaboration with the Escola de Comércio de Lisboa, 8 students have completed their Erasmus internships with us in Barcelona for 6 weeks.
The work placements were in the fields of Sales and Marketing, Reception, Windows Dressing and Commerce technician in which Maísa, Ismael, Carolina, Daniela, Maela, Adlayne, Gunpreet and Duarte have improved their knowledge and practical skills related to their sector.
Our city: Barcelona
Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia and it is the eleventh city in Europe in population. It has a large metropolitan area that includes 36 municipalities, among which it has the most political and economic weight. All metropolitan cities need a large transport network. To move within Barcelona, you have several options.
Barcelona is a city full of original leisure options that encourage visitors to visit it again and again. Open to the Mediterranean Sea and famous for Gaudí and its modernist architecture, Barcelona is one of the most interesting European capitals to visit.
The city is a hotbed of new trends in the world of culture, fashion and gastronomy. It combines the creativity of its artists and designers with the respect and care for traditional establishments. Here, the charm and slowness of its historic centre, the avant-garde of its most modern neighborhoods and the urban rhythm of one of the most visited cities in the world coexist.
A trip of personal and professional growth
For us, the most important is that along these days Maísa, Ismael, Carolina, Daniela, Maela, Adlayne, Gunpreet and Duarte have worked and have improved their knowledge and skills related to their studies.
They obtained a professional experience in their sectors, so that they will be more competitive in the labour market in Portugal and they will have more professional opportunities to find an enriching and satisfactory job.

Maisa, Ismael, Carolina, Daniela are sales and marketing – commerce technician and have lived a formative experience at a commerce and sales companies, improving their skills and knowledge in identifying and participating in customer loyalty actions, sales process, treatment of customer complaints and warehouse and labeling tasks.

Maela and Adlayne have improved their skills about the organization of the reception/hospitality department, execution of check-in and check-out, dealing with reservations and different services at reception as a reception technicians.
Gunpreet at his company.
As a window dressing technician Gunpreet has planned different window intervention, selecting the physical support(s) and props appropriate to the characteristics of the product applying different exhibition and exposure techniques, identifying the different product display and building accessories for the shop windows/store if was needed.

Maísa, Ismael, Carolina, Daniela, Maela, Adlayne, Gunpreet and Duarte had the chance to grow up and had an opportunity to get to know a lot of useful information about how the companies and their sectors work in Spain. Moreover, they also improved their personals skills living in an accommodation and sharing their daily housework with their colleagues, who are now friends.
