M&M Profuture Training is pleased to announce a new edition of its Mental Health Erasmus course in Barcelona, taking place from 9 to 13 November 2026. This five-day international training programme combines mental wellbeing, digital inclusion, intergenerational collaboration and artificial intelligence through a practical, inclusive and human-centred approach.

Following the positive experience of our previous edition, registrations are now open for teachers, trainers, adult educators, social professionals, caregivers and other education staff interested in supporting older adults and vulnerable groups through the safe and meaningful use of technology.

Mental Health Erasmus Course in Barcelona

Mental Health & ICT: Digital Wellbeing, Intergenerational Collaboration & AI for Ageing Societies provides participants with practical strategies to promote emotional wellbeing, digital confidence, autonomy and social inclusion.

During the programme, participants will explore the mental health challenges that may affect ageing populations, including loneliness, stress, anxiety, cognitive changes, digital exclusion and fear of technology.

They will also discover how ICT and emerging technologies can support communication, cognitive stimulation, accessibility, personalised learning and meaningful social participation.

What Will Participants Learn?

By the end of this Mental Health Erasmus course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand essential mental health concepts related to ageing populations and caregivers.
  • Recognise common challenges and warning signs.
  • Apply communication techniques based on empathy and active listening.
  • Promote psychologically safe and inclusive learning environments.
  • Support older adults in using digital devices and essential applications.
  • Prevent digital overload and encourage healthier technology habits.
  • Promote online safety and help vulnerable users recognise misinformation.
  • Explore AI applications for accessibility, learning and wellbeing.
  • Evaluate the ethical considerations and potential risks of artificial intelligence.
  • Design intergenerational activities connecting younger and older people.
  • Develop a practical project for implementation in their own organisation.

Course Content

Mental Health Foundations for Ageing Populations

Participants will explore mental wellbeing, ageing processes and cognitive changes, together with common challenges such as loneliness, stress, digital exclusion and fear of technology.

Digital Wellbeing and Safe Technology Use

This module addresses digital overload, misinformation, screen-related stress and the safe use of smartphones, tablets and essential applications. Participants will also explore accessibility tools such as voice commands, enlarged text and simplified interfaces.

Intergenerational Learning for Social Inclusion

Participants will examine the benefits of connecting younger and older generations through mentoring, co-learning and supported autonomy. They will design activities that promote digital confidence, empathy and independence.

Artificial Intelligence for Wellbeing

The course will introduce basic AI concepts, opportunities and risks. Participants will explore applications for cognitive stimulation, translation, communication, accessibility and personalised learning support.

Designing Interdisciplinary Learning Experiences

Participants will combine psychology, technology and social inclusion to design a practical mini-project for their local context. The programme will conclude with group presentations and peer feedback.

All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance. A Europass Mobility Certificate can also be issued when requested by the sending organisation.

Erasmus+ Funding for the Mental Health Erasmus Course

This is a paid professional training course. Participants normally attend using the Erasmus+ funding awarded to their school, training centre or organisation. Participation is not free.

Depending on the approved mobility project, the Erasmus+ grant may contribute towards course fees, travel, accommodation and individual support.

Participants must obtain authorisation from their sending organisation before registering. Travel arrangements should only be made after receiving final confirmation from M&M Profuture Training.

Learning by Doing in an International Environment

Our Mental Health Erasmus course follows M&M Profuture Training’s active “learning by doing” methodology. Sessions combine short theoretical introductions with practical exercises, teamwork, reflection, collaborative activities and project development.

The course also provides an international environment where participants can exchange experiences, share good practices and establish connections with professionals from other European countries.
