Teachers from Escola Internacional Teide Explore AI Guides and STEM Lesson Plans Through Future STEM Hub Training

During May 2026, teachers from Escola Internacional Teide participated in a specialised training activity organised within the Erasmus+ project Future STEM Hub.

The workshop focused on introducing teachers to the educational resources developed by the project and supporting them in the practical implementation of Artificial Intelligence and STEM methodologies in the classroom.

A total of five secondary school teachers specialising in STEM and ICT subjects took part in the training.

Exploring AI, Python and Scratch in Education

During the workshop, participants explored the main educational materials created within the project, including:

  • 📘 Guide 1: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
  • 💻 Guide 2: Practical Activities with Python and Scratch
  • 🧩 Future STEM Lesson Plans
  • 📚 Classroom implementation resources and methodologies

The training combined theoretical explanations with practical activities, allowing teachers to discover how these materials can be adapted and used in real classroom environments.

Practical Activities and Validation of Materials

One of the main goals of the session was to support teachers in understanding how to integrate Artificial Intelligence concepts into secondary education in an accessible and motivating way.

Participants reviewed:

  • classroom activities,
  • practical coding tasks,
  • collaborative methodologies,
  • and examples of STEM-based learning experiences.

Special attention was given to the validation and evaluation of:

  • 📘 Guide 2,
  • and the project’s Lesson Plans.

Teachers provided feedback regarding:

  • usability,
  • clarity,
  • level of difficulty,
  • classroom applicability,
  • and student engagement potential.

Supporting Teachers in AI Education

The training highlighted the importance of equipping teachers with practical and easy-to-use tools that help them introduce Artificial Intelligence, computational thinking and digital skills into everyday teaching practice.

The Future STEM Hub project aims to make AI education more accessible for schools through:

  • innovative educational guides,
  • hands-on activities,
  • Python and Scratch resources,
  • and ready-to-use lesson plans.
